1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing NotaryLedger, or using the NotaryLedger website or application, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
NotaryLedger provides subscription-based business-management software for notaries and loan signing agents. The software helps users track signing orders, appointments, customers, invoices, payments, expenses, mileage, and business reports in one account.
NotaryLedger is software only. It does not provide notarial services, legal services, financial advice, tax advice, or professional compliance advice.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information, safeguarding your login credentials, and all activity under your account. You must notify support promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. By selecting a paid plan, you authorize recurring subscription charges according to the price and billing interval shown at checkout. Subscription billing can be managed through the in-app Billing page and Stripe Customer Portal.
5. Cancellation
You may manage or cancel subscription billing through the in-app Billing page after sign-in. Cancellation prevents future renewal charges according to the Stripe subscription state and applicable billing-period rules.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the service, interfere with service operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit malicious code, use the service for unlawful activity, or upload content that you do not have the right to use.
7. User Data
You retain responsibility for the signing, customer, invoice, expense, mileage, credential, and business records you enter. You should review records for accuracy before using them for business, accounting, tax, or compliance purposes.
8. No Professional Advice
Information, calculators, dashboards, reports, and summaries inside NotaryLedger are provided for recordkeeping convenience. They are not legal, tax, financial, accounting, or notarial advice. Consult qualified professionals for advice about your business or obligations.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NotaryLedger is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from your use of the service. NotaryLedger's aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Termination
NotaryLedger may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create security risk, fail to pay subscription charges, or use the service in a way that may harm NotaryLedger or other users.
11. Changes to These Terms
NotaryLedger may update these terms from time to time. Material updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the NotaryLedger business entity, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.
